SELECT TITLE EXPERIENCES
MARVEL STUDIOS - ETERNALS
-
The Eternal’s title symbolized a continuing advancement of the Art and Design Operations Team working more closely with the Studio Marketing teams. Eternals was one of the first major theatrical titles in which the production design was done entirely by our in-house team. My role was to spearhead the project and lead the production design strategy in collaboration with the Studio Marketing creative team to ensure a continued growing trust and collaboration between the two groups allowing our product design team to design more “high-value” titles.
RISE OF SKYWALKER
-
Along with three other titles's, (Maleficent 2, Onward and Frozen2) full product packages needed to be fully designed and prepped for the service. I led the design strategy across all four titles while also creating the designs for Rise of Skywalker and Maleficent .
VILLAINS
-
This was a particularly special project that was dreamed up before the actual launch of Disney+, but it took a few years to get the green light. I led the creative strategy and vision while partnering with Walt Disney Animation, Disney Publishing, and Franchise Marketing. The design team created several iterations, and we finally landed on the closeup of the eyes. This was another great example of how Disney+ can leverage Franchise IP and do something special. Although the art was only up for 72 hours, The Villains release sent the internet into a frenz.
ONE SHOT
-
As bonus content, these titles had no art developed for them. When the order came for the titles there was also no established budget allocated. I pitched the Studio Marketing and MarvelStudios team to let our in-house team take the title creative from conception to completion.
Leveraging my creative background I led the visual development strategy in partnership with our principal designer who led the branding effort. Our efforts were reviewed and approved by the highest ranking executives in the Studio Marketing and Marvel Studios organizations. In addition to leading visual development for the series, I created the final designs for two of the titles, “Item 47” and “All Hail the King”. This project marked an incredible team effort as well as continued momentum, trust building and collaboration with our Studio partners.
